What You Didn’t Know About Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie

Any emo/pop or punk fan from the 2000 and 2010s will know who Brendon Urie is thanks to his massively successful band, Panic! At The Disco. To this day, he’s still going strong and creating incredible music that is beloved by people all over the world. However, there are many interesting things about Brendon, and we’d like to talk about a few of them today.

Twitch Streamer

If you aren’t familiar with Twitch, it’s a live-streaming platform. Over the last few years, it’s become very popular. Gamers can stream whatever they’re playing to thousands of people. Well, Brendon Urie joined the Twitch family in 2018. As of now, he has over 300,000 followers. While he streams just about anything, he mainly streams Fortnite. It’s amazing how he uses this tool to connect to his fans more. In addition, he donates all the money he makes from it to the Highest Hopes Foundation.

Made It On Broadway

To expand his horizons, Brendon also performed on Broadway. He starred in Kinky Boots, playing Chalie Price. We can only imagine how many sold-out shows there were with his name in the cast.

Taylor Swift Fan

You’ve probably heard the song ME! at some point or another seeing how popular it is. Well, it turns out that Brendon is a big fan of Taylor Swift! Even before the two collaborated, they’ve been friends for a while now. Brendon has mentioned many times how talented Taylor is and how he wanted to collaborate with her. Lucky for us, it happened!

Unmatched Voice

Brendon has an incredible voice that has been compared to people as legendary as Freddie Mercury, and for good reason. He has a tenor voice that reaches four octaves that are intervals between one musical pitch to another. His range extends from D2 to C7 – an incredible feat for any artist.

Victim-Turned Hero

Just like many people, Brendon had been a victim of bullying. He’s said that he was considered a spaz in high school and would get teased for singing Disney songs. Well, recently, he sang for Disney’s Frozen 2, so it looks like he’s on top now!

Dedicated

I Write Sins Not Tragedies is obviously an iconic song that will always be a classic. Well, did you know that while filming the music video, Brendon and former band member, Ryan Ross, were both sick? They had the flu and went on with filming anyway.
