Keith Olbermann’s Mistaken Tweet
Social media – it makes it so easy for us to get out our ideas quickly, and perhaps without thinking about the consequences. Keith Olbermann fell victim to the same trap as the rest of us. When a student tweeted Olbermann about Penn State’s pediatric cancer fundraiser, Olbermann didn’t response so nicely. The link included the school chant “We Are…” to which Olbermann replied, “…pitiful”. He apologized, but what a response to a cancer fundraiser to benefit sick children. In Olbermann’s own words – “pitiful.”
