Paul Finebaum
It is ESPN radio and SEC commentator Paul Finebaum’s job to have an opinion – but this time, he probably should have just kept his mouth shut. In the current tense political climate, San Francisco 49er Colin Kaepernick expressed his opinion by taking a knee during the national anthem in order to protest police killings and treatment of African Americans and other minorities in the United States. On air, Finebaum commented on Kaepernick’s action, saying “this country does not oppress black people.” He received a lot of blow-back and eventually apologized.
