It was necessary to take the wings apart in a way that Campbell could still reassemble them again after it was parked in its rightful new home. As Campbell began to put everything in motion, he decided to begin it as only a “work in progress.” Despite this, the project ended up turning into something more after he spent a lot of time and hard work on the airplane home.
