When she returned home after the meeting, she immediately started explaining to Ava how the comments inspired her. A baby carrier and maternity pants all in one sounded silly, but what if it worked? There was definitely a market for it. J’Ann helped Claudia formulate a plan for the pants that would make mothers’ and pregnant women’s lives a bit easier. They named them J’Pants in honor of J’Ann’s idea. They had to get their design produced quickly based on the reactions the photo kept getting.

One Huge Hurdle
The two of them were thrilled about the design but Claudia also knew what a small business would entail. Any new invention would require some money to turn into something tangible. They needed funding for the production of their design if they didn’t want to just be a piece of paper. Aunt and niece decided to make a GoFundMe page to encourage people to contribute to their plan. Claudia hoped to inspire her niece’s creativity with the fundraiser.
